Welcome beautiful soul,

Thank you for taking the time to be here. I’m Kailee – a down-to-earth, free spirit who enjoys connecting with and meeting new people. I have two adorable fur-babies, Ralph and Winston, and am happily married to my husband, who is a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Growing up in a small town outside of Niagara Falls, I never imagined this life of moving around every few years, but it has been such an adventure and I feel so blessed. We’ve had the opportunity to live in Manitoba, Nunavut and are now happy to call Alberta home.

After working for the federal government for six years and more recently, four years in Corrections, I knew I needed to move on. While it allowed me unique opportunities and financial security, I did not feel fulfilled and found myself longing for my passion of helping people.

Working as a Correctional Officer, shift work was hard on my body and the constant adrenaline dumps triggered anxiety in me. The challenges of the isolated community (Iqaluit) started to get to me and I noticed my anxiety getting worse. It took me working myself to my breaking point, to realize this was not my calling.

I have spent the majority of my life living how the world thought I should, instead of listening to what my heart was telling me.

I have spent the majority of my life living how the world thought I should instead of listening to what my heart was telling me. Thankfully, synchronicity stepped in at the time I was really struggling up north, and my husband received a transfer to Alberta. I had read the quote “trust in the magic of new beginnings” and decided it was time for some major life changes; it was now or never.

In 2017, I handed in my uniforms and spent time reconnecting with myself and growing physically, emotionally and spiritually. I did things for myself and my family; things that made my soul happy and I started to listen to my heart and intuition. I let go of things that no longer served me and found myself on my mat more than ever.  I travelled to new countries, explored new cultures and accomplished some big goals that had been on the back burner for too long.

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to complete my yoga teacher’s training (YTT). Yoga has been a part of my life for over 12 years and has helped me in so many different ways. I finally realized my goal when I completed my YTT at Vikasa in Thailand in 2017. I truly believe things happen when the time is right and this couldn’t have happened at a better time. It allowed me to fully heal and detox and was all done through the power of yoga, meditation and healthy eating.

My calling for reiki came while I was overseas at my YTT. One morning, I was walking up the never-ending staircase, after our first two-hour yoga class. The heat was beating down on me and I was winded. As I looked down at my feet walking up the stairs, as the sweat was pouring down my body, a thought came into my head, “These stairs would be really hard for me to do on crutches.” (I have never been on crutches in my life).  The next thought that came through was, “Well, if something was to happen while I’m here (in Thailand), I know the universe is telling me I need to focus on reiki as well.”

Three (3!) days later, I dislocated my knee and was on crutches. I couldn’t believe it but immediately thought back to my premonition a few days earlier. At that moment, I promised myself that I would pursue my reiki training. I completed my YTT and met my husband in Vietnam where we continued to travel, with me on crutches. When I returned to Canada three weeks later, I completed my reiki I & II in Edmonton. I spent over a year mentoring under a reiki master and completed my Reiki Master’s training.
